One of Waterloo’s most popular neighbourhoods is Beechwood, a lively area of Waterloo with the perfect blend of activity and privacy, but in close proximity to the highly sought-after City of Waterloo jobs. Beechwood is one of the older parts of Waterloo, with most homes dating back to the 1980s or earlier. The homes are big and traditional, with large lots and gorgeous trees.
Beechwood was created with families in mind. There are six community pools, tennis courts, parks, soccer fields and skating rinks in Beechwood. Childcare facilities are nearby. Residents enjoy paved walking trails among the trees and plenty of parks for the kids.
Centrally located in Waterloo, Beechwood is convenient to Uptown Waterloo, the malls (Conestoga Mall and the Boardwalk), shopping and restaurants. It’s also right next door to our universities, drawing in many students seeking student rentals. Waterloo residents will often rent out basement apartments.
Public school students in Beechwood have two K-6 schools available, both of which offer 1-6 French immersion.
Middle school students attend Centennial Middle School. High school students are bussed to Waterloo Collegiate Institute.
Catholic students will be bussed to Our Lady of Lourdes. Catholic high school students are bussed to Resurrection Secondary School.
